Otro "error" sí sería costoso para Phelps
Tremendo escándalo que se armó por la bendita foto que le tomaron a Michael Phelps con una pipa que usualmente está asociada al consumo de marihuana. Puedo entender perfectamente que se haya armado este gran lío comunicacional, aunque al final tampoco es gran cosa.Phelps, quien ganó ocho medallas de oro en la natación de los pasados Juegos Olímpicos, pidió disculpas por la imagen que dio y ese es el primer aplauso que se lleva de parte mía. Porque mira que uno se cansa de tantos atletas que están en la misma situación y salen diciendo que no, que ellos jamás habían hecho, que era algo trucado y que "después se conocerá la verdad de todo esto". ¡Pura mentira!

Ahora bien, lo de Phelps no es grave. Que yo sepa la marihuana no es un ninguna sustancia que mejore el rendimiento, así que de ninguna manera se puede decir que sus logros deportivos están manchados ni mucho menos.

Eso sí, sin duda su imagen, si bien no parece sufrir con todo este escándalo, no creo que sea la misma luego de todo esto. Ya es la segunda ocasión en la que Phelps comete "un error" celebrando sus logros deportivos. Hay que recordar que luego de su primera actuación en los Juegos Olímpicos del 2004 fue detenido por conducir en estado de ebriedad.
Hay que recordar que Phelps es un muchacho apenas, y es una muestra de que existen matices grises en el ser humano, que es un error pensar en blanco y negro solamente, que nadie es perfecto o cien por ciento imperfecto.
En el futuro Phelps debe ser más cuidadoso. Otro lío de este tipo sí le puede costar más en términos de imagen, porque entonces ya pudiera proyectar la sensación de ser un tipo parrandero y no tan apegado a los ideales deportivos.
Y también debe ser cuidadoso en escoger a sus amigos, porque al final fue uno de ellos el que filtró la foto.
