El Drama Juan Pierre-Manny Ramírez

Nada tiene qué ver un asunto con el otro, pero vale la pena comparar. A Juan Pierre le quedan tres años de contrato con los Dodgers, durante los cuales cobrará esa suma. Y si el club de Los Angeles firma a Manny Ramírez, Pierre será confinado al banco.

"Comprendo las consecuencias" ha dicho Pierre, "de que si Manny regresa, yo seré a quien sentarán. Pero quiero jugar. Nadie puede esperar que yo esté feliz jugando una vez cada dos semanas".

Juan Pierre es el leftfielder de los Dodgers, pero solo hasta el día cuando llegue Ramírez. En el centerfield juega Matt Kemp y el rightfielder es Andre Ethier.

"Si los Dodgers piensan que estaré feliz ganándome el dinero sentado en el banco, se equivocaron al firmar a este tipo" también dijo Pierre.

Lo cierto es que si la ausencia del contrato es un drama para Manny Rmírez, si llega a firmar con los Dodgers, como se espera, el drama lo sufrirá entonces Juan Pierre.

Los Dodgers tendrán cuatro outfielders, y cada uno de ellos supone ser regular.

Por eso, habrá solo dos soluciones. Una fortuita y que nadie desea, que se lesione alguno de ellos. La otra, un cambio. Lo malo es que el mercado no está muy cómodo para colocar outfielders. Ejemplos como el del mismo Manny, y los de Bob Abreu, Ken Griffey, Garrett Anderson y algunos más son evidentes.
