Otro round en el caso Maradona - Riquelme
Alejandro Mancuso, ayudante de campo de la Selección argentina, apareció en un programa de TV y se refirió a Riquelme luego de que declarara que él no puede trabajar junto a Maradona. "El tema de Riquelme está cerrado hace rato. Diego le tenía mucho afecto a Riquelme como futbolista. Incluso, cuando asumimos, el planteo estaba pensado alrededor de él. Sin embargo, cuando le dijo que no a la Selección, nunca más apareció en nuestros planes", contó el ex volante de Vélez Sársfield, Boca Juniors y, entre otros clubes, Palmeiras.Además Mancuso aprovechó la ocasión para recordar que en momentos muy complicados el jugador xeneize no estuvo. "Riquelme le dijo que no a la Selección, cuando nosotros nos estábamos jugando la cabeza. Hubo jugadores que se jugaron el resto que tenían adentro", recordó.
Ahora sí, más allá que los involucrados (sobre todo Maradona) ya demostraron que pueden cambiar de opinión repentinamente, pareciera que el caso está cerrado. La mezquindad, otra vez, fue la protagonista en el ámbito de la selección albiceleste. Curioso, ¿no? Después se llenan la boca asegurando que la camiseta albiceleste está por encima de todo.

If Argentina plays like a team, they are very capable of winning the upcoming World Cup, with or without Maradona. Like usual, very few teams in the world can claim having as much depth as Argentina. They have about 4-5 midfielders as good or better than Riquelme right now, so forget about Riquelme, they don't need him as bad as some people think.
The main problems, as usual, are: Too many great players to choose from; 2. Most are European based, so they do not get to play together much except for the last 20 or so days right before the WC, and 3. Maradona's lack of deciding what players to choose and technical coaching skills in general.
Maradona was one of the greatest players of all times, but he will not accomplish the same as a coach.
Argentina is one of the winninest teams (tied with France I believe) when it comes to major continental and intercontinental titles, which includes World Cups, with 16 titles. Only France, not Brazil, can say the same. Other than the WC titles, Argentina has beat Brasil more times than any other National team in this planet, holds more major titles, especailly in the categories mentioned above, and since 1979 has won 2 WCs, 6 sub-20 titles,. and 2 olympic titles among others. Brasil has not ever won an Olympic title. So no, Argentina is not just living in the bast because they have not won the WC in 24 years, they are still considered as being one of the greatest National futbol teams of all times because they have won many other titles since then as well. The futbol world does not only revolve around the WC !
Wth players like Messi, Higuain, Tevez, Aguero, Lavezi, Macherano, Veron, Gago, Aimar, Cambiaso,
Di Maria, De Michelis, Heinze, Milito bros., etc....Argentina will go far and may even take the trophy home, with or without Riquelme or Maradona. Too bad that Grondona did not ask the great Bianchi to coach !!!

Bueno el unico que glorifica el pasado parece que es este "clarck". Y no deja de aceptar que los argentinos son "todo un circo". Sera algo muy bueno?, mas o menos? o sera sobresaliente/ . No le entiendo . Los argentinos son bien especiales y no necesitan que le digan que creen en ellos ...porque no lo necesitan lo mismo siguen siendo lo que son ..una maravilla !!! .y si no los ven es porque te falta ponerse los lentes ja ja ja ..Arriba Maradona ,somos tus fans y estamos contigo.
