'Zorrita' Soto ante su más grande escenario
"Ganar un tercer campeonato mundial en una tercera categoria es muy importante para mí, pues sé que no muchos boxeadores mexicanos lo han logrado y sería algo muy especial y de lo cual estaria muy orgulloso de lograr", dijo Soto, actual monarca superpluma del Consejo Mundial de Boxeo (CMB) y ex campeon mundial interino pluma de ese mismo organismo."Hice una gran preparacion y me siento muy fuerte. Sé que esta no será una pelea fácil y por eso trabajé tan fuerte en el gimnasio", añadió. "No tengo duda que será una gran pelea, pues a los dos nos gusta ir para enfrente y buscamos dar espectaculo en todo momento".
Otro aspecto que tiene a Soto muy entusiasmado es la sede de la pelea. Se dice que el majestuoso estadio de football estadounidense será modificado para dar cabida a unas 45 mil personas. Una audiencia de lujo para cualquier boxeador.
"Estoy muy contento de poder pelear en esta gran cartelera y en un gran estadio como es el de los Vaqueros de Dallas. Será una gran noche para el boxeo mundial", dijo Soto.
Además del choque estelar entre Pacquiao y Clottey, en las otras dos peleas que serán televisadas por Pay Per View el ex campeon mundial José Luis Castillo se enfrentará a Alfonso Gómez, mientras que el irlandés John Duddy irá por la victoria contra el mexicano Michel Medina.
