Pacquiao: '¡Después de la pelea tendremos una fiesta!'
Manny Pacquiao y Joshua Clottey se treparon a la báscula la tarde del viernes a las afueras del nuevo templo de Jerry Jones en Arlington, Texas. El reluciente Cowboys Stadium sirvió de trasfondo para seguir calentando el ambiente para 'El Evento' de este sábado.El retador Clottey dio justo en las 147 libras para este combate titular welter, mientras que Pacquiao llegó en 145.75 libras. Al conocer su peso el filipino se mostró un poco sorprendido, como si hubiese esperado pesar más. En los alrededores del pesaje se comentó que el rey libra por libra podría subir al ring con 149 libras, mientras que Clottey podría rehidratarse y llegar hasta las 160 libras.
Como es su costumbre, Pacquiao irrumpió en risas al momento de sostener su careo con Clottey. Pero el africano, su entrenador y todos en la tarima también se echaron a reír, pues en este pleito no hay un 'tipo malo' a quien odiar.
"Tengo mi plan. Sé que Manny es un gran peleador y estoy listo para él. Quiero que el mundo sepa quién es Joshua Clottey, y estoy listo para dejar saber quién soy", dijo el ex campeón welter.
"Haré lo mejor que pueda para los fanáticos", dijo Pacquiao. "No puedo prometer un nocaut, pero daré lo mejor de mí para que la gente esté feliz".
"Estoy enfocado y concentrado en la pelea", continuó el filipino, para luego anunciar sonriente a los cientos de fanáticos presentes, "después de la pelea vamos a tener una fiesta ahí [cerca del estadio)".
En el escenario se presentaron figuras del deporte y la farándula. Los peleadores Jorge 'Travieso' Arce y Antonio Margarito dijeron presente. Este último no dudó en tomarse una foto personal con Pacquiao. También se dio la vuelta el destacado actor Robert Duvall, así como jugadores de la NFL.

Han visto como se reian Pac y Clothey? Asi me gusta verlos...amistosos y rientes. Pero ese Floyd Myweather no me gusto su actitud frente a Paquiao. Ya lo ven? Floyd quedo mal visto hasta por esos que eran sus fanaticos.

Boxeadores profesionales que se insultan,se odian, etc no me gustan. Miren a Paquiao y Clothey riendose juntos y dandose las manos...asi es como me gustan ver a los boxeadores. No les parece amigos? Fijense en ese Floyd que invento la excusa del examen de sangre contra Paquiao porque desconfiaba de el o estaba buscando una excusa para no pelear con el. Ese Floyd quedo mal hasta con sus fanaticos por esa actitud estupida y por echar a perder una gran pelea del siglo. En adelante no vere mas pelear a Floyd.
