Margarito: 'Manny no me noquea ni en sus sueños'
"Han estado hablando mucho. Roach dijo que Manny me va a noquear en dos rounds. Yo no creo que me pueda noquear ni en sus sueños. Le voy a poner tanta presión que sólo yo podré conseguir el nocaut", dijo Margarito a Boxing Scene.
Margarito añadió que aunque Joshua Clottey tiró pocos golpes en su pelea contra el filipino en marzo, pudo herir a Pacquiao las veces que le conectó. El mexicano es uno de los pegadores más activos de todos los tiempos, en términos de cantidad de golpes lanzados por round. Por eso dice que tendrá la estrategia para vencer.En cuanto a los reclamos de Pacquiao de que Margarito tenía que saber lo que había en sus guantes antes de la pelea contra Shane Mosley, el ex campeón welter afirmó que hasta el mismo Pacquiao puede verificar sus vendajes si así lo desea.
"Que vaya a mi camerino y verifique el vendaje. Para mí, esto está en el pasado y es tiempo de seguir adelante, enfocarnos en la pelea y preparar para una pelea fuerte".
Margarito y Pacquiao asistieron a un partido de pretemporada de la NFL entre los Cowboys y los Dolphins la noche del jueves en el Cowboys Stadium. El viernes se vieron ante la prensa en esa sede, en la tercera y última parada en su gira promocional.
