Se termina el 'encanto' español
La 'Furia Roja' que el pasado mes de julio se proclamó campeón mundial de fútbol, tras vencer en la final a Holanda, viajó a Buenos Aires a jugar un partido amistoso, donde el seleccionado argentino los trató muy mal al vencerlos por un contundente 1-4.
El seleccionado español no perdía un amistoso desde noviembre de 2006 y apenas había sufrido dos derrotas en sus últimos 55 partidos.
Mientras tanto en el Mundial de Baloncesto, el equipo de España, que defendía el titulo, fue superado sorpresivamente por Serbia en los cuartos de final por 92-89.
La selección española que no pudo preservar con éxito el campeonato que obtuviera hace cuatro años en Japón, resintió la ausencia de dos de sus mejores jugadores, Pau Gasol y José Manuel Calderón.
El deporte español vive desde hace unos años 'una luna de miel', con importantes triunfos en el fútbol, tenis, ciclismo, automovilismo y baloncesto, debió tolerar el daño de ver como dos de sus mayores referentes se pusieron de cara frente a la derrota.
