A Memo Ochoa sólo le alcanzó para ir al peor equipo de Francia

Memo ochoaSegún informes del club Ajaccio, este lunes Guillermo Ochoa se convertirá en su jugador. El mejor portero de México, dos veces mundialista y estrella del América, no tuvo más remedio que partir al peor equipo de Francia a costo cero.

Aunque estamos hablando del primer guardameta mexicano que podrá jugar en el Viejo Continente (exceptuando el intrascendente caso de Sergio Ramírez en Armenia), el tema no deja de tener muchas aristas y cuestionamientos: ¿Vale la pena regalarse? ¿Cuánto puede aprender en esas condiciones? ¿Es más competitivo?

Desde su debut, Ochoa ha llamado la atención en el mundo futbolístico, no sólo por su calidad, también por su carisma que se traduce en imán de taquilla. En México las expectativas se desbordaron: Manchester United, Arsenal, Valencia, eran algunos de los nombres que se barajaban para cuando dieran el prometido salto a Europa, sin embargo al final de los rumores apareció la realidad: Ajaccio.

No deja de ser lastimoso el hecho de que no hubo equipo que valorara al guardameta mexicano y se atreviera a pagar su carta de recisión al América, hubo que esperar hasta el fin de su contrato para poder arreglar su traspaso.

Memo ha jugado Copa Libertadores, Copa América, Copa Sudamericana, Copa de Oro, acudió a dos Copas del Mundo, ha estado sometido a las más altas exigencias, muy por encima de lo que le puede ofrecer el equipo galo, que no aspira ni en sueño a copas europeas.

Trascendió que Televisa hizo hasta lo imposible para arreglar su contrato en la Liga de Francia, de la cual posee los derechos de transmisión en México, otro hecho cuestionable.

Al final la realidad es abrumadora: Ochoa no tiene pasaporte comunitario, ni la calidad como para que un equipo grande europeo gaste su plaza de extracomunitario. Va al peor equipo francés por ser agente libre. Su talla no le da como para competir con los grandes guardametas del fútbol inglés o alemán. Deja su espacio de confort como estrella del América.

Cumplió su sueño, pero cómo saber si valió la pena.
