El pesaje de la pelea entre Vitali Klitschko y Chris Arreola se celebró la tarde de ayer en las afueras del Staples Center de Los Ángeles California, Klitschko marcó en la balanza 252 libras, mientras que el mexicoamericano Chris Arreola marcó 251 libras.
Arreola tuvo que pesarse en dos ocasiones, ya que en primera instancia subió a la romana con la playera puesta, llegando a 272 libras, lo que provocó la desilusión de los miembros de la prensa y los aficionados que se dieron cita a la ceremonia del pesaje. Momentos después Arreola levantó las manos pidiendo disculpas por lo ocurrido y se quitó la playera, mostrando que llevaba un chaleco puesto que lo hizo estar más pesado. Causando risas entre los asistentes, se quitó el chaleco y dio paso a subirse de nuevo a la balanza, marcando 251 libras en su segundo intento.

México es uno de los grandes de la CONCACAF. Sólo Estados Unidos es el único capaz de hacerle sombra, pero más allá del buen desempeño de equipos como Honduras, básicamente el Tri es superior a todos los demás de la región.Hoy México juega contra Canadá y creo que no debería haber problemas para el conjunto dirigido por Sven Goran Eriksson para sumar. Sin embargo, a la hora de buscar la clasificación a un Mundial se vale lo que sea y siempre se busca las ventajas. Es por ello que creo que es un error que el Tri busque jugar sus partidos en casa en otras ciudades y otros estadios y no en el Azteca de la capital.
Reynaldo Rueda, director técnico de Honduras, señaló en una entrevista en el diario Esto de México, lo que pareció una abierta amenaza y advertencia para el Tri. Rueda, colombiano de nacimiento, aseguróque conocía mejor al combinado de México que el propio Sven Goran Eriksson, y se evidenció, en cada una de sus respuestas que está consciente de que puede ganarle a su rival incluso como visitante.
