Cyborg (8-1) está regresando de una lesión en el hombro que la dejó al margen de la cartelera Strikeforce del 7 de noviembre: Fedor vs Rogers. En esa misma tarjeta, Coenen (17-3) mantuvo su oportunidad de ir por el título derrotando a Roxanne Modafferi con una barra de brazo en 65 segundos.
