Las apuestas dicen que Pacquiao noqueará

LAS VEGAS.-- La línea de apuestas del MGM Mirage Race & Sports, la cual incluye el sitio de apuestas del MGM Grand Hotel, indica hoy que el favorito para ganar la pelea es Manny Pacquiao con -350 versus +270 para Miguel Cotto.

Para decirlo en palabras sencillas y fáciles, si usted le apuesta $100 al campeón puertorriqueño ganarás $270 y si apuesta lo mismo al filipino se llevará $35.

La anterior es la apuesta principal y abierta que fluctua de acuerdo a como entreguen dinero los apostadores. Es decir, la línea puede ser más abierta o más cerrada el día de la pelea. Sin embargo, la casa de apuestas le pagará su ganancia de acuerdo a como estaba la línea al momento de poner su dinero.

¿Pacquiao noqueará a Cotto? No lo creo

Primero dijo que lo iban a noquear. Luego afirmó que el que pensara que será una pelea fácil era un imbécil, pues el combate durará los 12 asaltos. Pero ahora Freddie Roach, entrenador de Manny Pacquiao, cambia de nuevo de opinión y mantiene que su púgil noqueará a Miguel Cotto el 14 de noviembre.

"Había dicho que ganaríamos por decisión, pero al ver cómo Manny está trabajando, la forma que está golpeando, su velocidad, vamos a noquearlo", dijo Roach al Filipino Inquirer.

Hay que reconocer que Roach pronosticó correctamente el resultado de enfrentamientos como De La Hoya/Pacquiao y Márquez/Mayweather. Además está claro que Roach es un entrenador de primera. Pero creo que es peligroso subestimar a Cotto.
