Muchos se preguntan cuáles fueron los criterios para contemplarlo, cuando ni siquiera podría identificar algunas de las provincias de ese país del norte, como lo publicado por el diario 'Salmon Arm Observer'.

Resulta que Jason Kidd prometió a Elaine Wynn, esposa de uno de los mega millonarios más famosos y dueño de uno de los hoteles-casinos más espectaculares de Las Vegas, regalarle la presea dorada de ganar en Pekín. Lo curioso es que Kidd y Wynn se conocieron hace apenas un año y esta señora no es una tía suya, o una hermana, o nadie con quien se conoce desde hace décadas.
Pero bueno, cada quien hace con sus medallas lo que quiere ¿no?:
Así lo reportó el 'New York Daily News', que además especificó que el "modesto" departamento tiene una superficie de 4,080 pies cuadrados (unos 1,244 metros cuadrados) y tiene una hermosa vista hacia uno de los sectores más lindos de la ciudad de Baltimore.

El saber que el beisbol dejaría de estar en el programa para la siguiente versión de los Juegos Olímpicos me ha causado una verdadera tristeza, pues considero que hay otras disciplinas sin tanta tradición que deberían tomar el lugar del 'rey de los deportes'.
No sé qué parámetros utilicen las autoridades encargadas para poner y sacar competencias del programa olímpico, pero considero que escogieron una de las favoritas de los continentes americano y asiático, y esto quedó más que evidenciado en Beijing, pues los tres primeros lugares pertenecían a estas zonas del mundo.
De hecho, antes de que comenzara todo esto los acertados comentarios de algún colega me pusieron a dudar sobre la amplitud de ventaja del 'Team USA' sobre España.

Primero fue el ganar las ocho medallas, batir todos los records que quizo, aparecer en los televisores de todo el orbe y meterse en la historia como el más grande atleta olímpico de la historia. Después los medios comenzaron a diseccionarlo. Se habló acerca de su dieta, también sobre su misterioso padre y, ahora, el asunto sigue creciendo.
A Michael Phelps ya no le quitan la vista de encima y lo vieron besándose con la nadadora australiana Stephanie Rice en una fiestecita en la Villa Olímpica. Claro está que eso no tiene absolutamente nada de malo, pero sí es peligroso el cómo manejar la situación en esta era de tanto paparazzi, tabloide, prensa rosa y sí, era de blogs y más blogs.
